My Personal Experience:

   I have a teenage daughter who is glued to a mirror, regularly! She's very much a girly girl but also very sporty, which means she likes makeup but hates to carry a purse. Giving her a plain old conventional mirror to toss into her pocket or backpack wasn't good enough. Those mirrors are too small or too difficult to really see anything. They are great for reapplying lipstick or lip gloss but anything else is frustrating. This mirror comes EXTREMELY well packaged in a nice, hard shell box, with a USB charging cable cord (the adapter block is not included). This mirror is about the size of a standard touchscreen phone but incredibly thin. The front of the mirror is lined with small LED lights so you can see everything you need to see, with a bright, clear quality. This would be considered the baby size version of a vanity makeup mirror. Its size and thin design make it easy to carry/store. You can easily slide this into your back pocket (careful though it's still a mirror), handbag, backpack, gym bag and/or locker. The charging port is located at the bottom of mirror. The cord is a standard micro USB cable cord so you can even use your (android) cellphone cord if in a pinch! It charges quickly with a long lasting battery life. You can use this mirror with or without the use of the lights. Touch the circle on the bottom middle of the mirror to turn on or off the vanity lights. I love the size, shape and versatility of the mirror as well as the addition of the vanity lights! I believe this mirror to be the best type of portable mirror on the market today.
